Battlestate Games said that they will be installing patch 0.15 tomorrow, August 20. This is nothing new, except for the start time they shared today on X. Unlike previous wipes, this wipe and patch installation is supposed to take a lot longer, with a server maintenance spanning to 8 hours.
The update and server maintenance will start at 7 AM BST / 2 AM EDT. During the installation, the game will be inaccessible to everyone.
What to expect coming with Patch 0.15?
First of all, there will be a wipe which means a global database wipe, with each player starting from scratch. As for the other details, check below:
- New trader named Ref, who will be accessible in both the Arena and the main game. Ref will use GPT coins as the main currency. Players will be able to earn GPT coins in both Arena and the normal game, which means there will be more ways to trade and gear up. Keys to valuable rooms will also be available in EFT Arena, which is definitely something players might be looking forward to.
- There is supposed to be a Unity 2022 update that will boost game performance by far. There’s not much to say about this other than, “We’ve been waiting for this change for a long time.”
- There will be a new questline called Nostalgia, and will allow players to unlock all the rewards from the Unheard edition, permanently. Furthermore, there will be rewards for those who rightfully landed a report against a person cheating, which are probably going to arrive through the in-game mail system.
- A new boss, Partisan, who was revealed by Battlestate Games earlier this month, who will target players with bad karma. Yes, karma is finally coming to PMCs, and it will change how we play. Campers, beware.
- Audio Improvements
What else? Well, according to the roadmap, here’s what’s supposed to arrive:
- New Content
- QoL Improvements
- Technical Improvements
- New Weapons
- Hideout Expansion
- Audio Optimization
- FPS optimization on all locations.
