Epic Games and Unknown Worlds offer Subnautica for free for a limited time. This a permanent copy of the game. The only requirement is to have the official Epic Games launcher because the offer is not available through Steam.

Unknown Worlds and Epic Games have teamed up to offer Subnautica as a gift to you for free on PC inside the Epic Games store. You can login and download it right now! Subnautica is free to download until 11:59PM EST on Dec 27. Best of all, once you grab the game, it’s yours to keep!
Subnautica, the Golden Joystick PC Game of the Year for 2018, is an underwater adventure set on an alien ocean planet where a massive, open world full of wonder and peril awaits you.
With that being said, Epic Games and Unknown Worlds’ effort is to make the coming Holidays even more festive with this humble move.
Furthermore, as Epic Games stated, they will continue with the free copy giveaways during 2019. That is a whole year with free and permanent video game copies, and as announced, the next game will be Super Meat Boy, available at the beginning of Dec 28th, 2018.
Epic Games did not miss to grow this situation into a tradition, and somewhat state the current power of the company. It will be really joyful to escort this beautiful move by Epic Games throughout 2019.
