FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have set a date for Elden Ring Nightreign’s next expansion. The Forsaken Hollows is scheduled to arrive on December 4 and will be available on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. The Forsaken Hollows DLC is scheduled to release on December 4. Nightreign has seen steady updates since launch, including smaller fixes such as the Oct. 7 patch that addressed Expedition and Relic bugs and other issues. Nightreign patch 1.14 handled that work and kept the expansion road moving.
What the DLC includes
The Forsaken Hollows adds new playable options and encounters, including two Nightfarers, two new bosses, and a new Shifting Earth.
“This product is an additional DLC for ELDEN RING NIGHTREIGN. It includes 2 additional Nightfarers, 2 new Bosses, and 1 new Shifting Earth, and more.”
The expansion names the two new Nightfarers as Scholar and Undertaker. The developer provided short descriptions for each that explain their intended role and flavor. Those blurbs appear exactly as released.
- Scholar: “An academic who walks the Lands Between. Boasting impressive arcane levels, he gains incredible advantages through battlefield observation.”
- Undertaker: “An abbess who was mandated to slay the Nightlord. Boasting impressive strength and faith, she sends enemies to the afterlife with ruthless efficiency.”
The new Shifting Earth promises a crystalline, visually striking locale and fresh hazards to learn and exploit. Beyond the named features the developer says there is more content to discover when the DLC goes live on December 4. As usual for Nightreign, the expansion is playable across the main platforms and will arrive as additional paid DLC for existing Nightreign owners. Players hoping for a larger roadmap should note that FromSoftware is also working on other projects, so this may be the major Nightreign expansion for the near future.
