The Survivalist Path – Eagle-Owl is a quest in Escape From Tarkov given by Jaeger. The quest asks you to eliminate 6 Scavs in Nighttime without using any NVGs or Thermal sights. Patch 0.12.12.30 has excluded Factory from this quest.

Quest Dialogue
As I’ve read in one article, the human eye can get used to the darkness. You know, I wanted to check, and I almost broke my leg in a deadfall. Guess I’m a little old for such a metamorphosis. But you, I think, are in the prime of life. A well-trained night eyesight can help us very much in our difficult tasks. So take care of this. You’re a tough guy, you can take a punch. But what if you can’t see anything at night and suddenly get ambushed by some scum? Those things happen quite often, not everyone can take NVG’s into their raids. So, show me how you see in the dark, without any gadgets.

- Eliminate 6 Scavs in the time period of 21:00-04:00 without using any NVGs or Thermal sights (Excluding Factory)

Guide
This quest has to be done during nighttime, and as such, I’d choose an open map such as Customs, or maybe Interchange because it’s always light inside the mall. If you do not rush the quest, you can pair it later with Chumming, which asks you to eliminate 5 PMCs from 22:00 to 10:00 on Interchange. Keep in mind that you are not allowed to use any Night Vision goggles, but you’re allowed to use a flashlight.
You can also do this quest on Factory. Just get a pistol with a flashlight and go in naked. In this case, you’ll trigger the tagged and cursed feature and the Scavs will start rushing you on spawn. This means you will do this in a couple of runs. However, my choice for this quest has always been Customs. It has a fair share of Sniper Scavs, including decent spawns all around the map. Killing 6 would be easy, and since the quest does not require survive and restart you can just rinse and repeat. Grab a mosin and start running and gunning.
