Elon Musk acquired Twitter. Yes, we all know the news. Knowing Elon Musk’s joker side, some people have decided to take memes into their own hands and expand them beyond limits. Some of them got the worst of it, which resulted in a ban. This means that the Twitter algorithm is already cautious about flawed activities such as the impersonation of the man in charge.
Being a part of the gaming industry, we follow those who are familiar with Escape From Tarkov, streamers that have decided to change their Twitter name to Elon Musk despite their remain of the original Twitter handle. They have chosen to provide humouristic updates regarding the shooter, Escape From Tarkov, impersonating Elon Musk. None of them is true, of course, but embracing the memes seems to matter to them.
One of them is GoodKnight_TV, which after the joke tweet about Elon Musk buying Battlestate Games and removing Inertia, found itself in a rough spot with an account ban.

Another streamer that got its alt account suspended is bearkiTV, which has done the same thing. In the tweet below, she revealed how she got mass reported for her joke impersonating Elon Musk, stating he bought Battlestate Games, and the wipe is on Thursday. BearkiTV’s alternative Twitter account is @bearkihehe.

This is not necessarily the brightest idea, as multiple other reports of account deactivations have been reported. Be aware of your next move. We couldn’t really pinpoint if the account suspension came from a mass report or just a weird hiccup in the Twitter algorithm inspired by Elon Musk’s recent acquisition. If I were to answer, I would go with the latter. There are plenty of Twitter accounts that impersonate Elon Musk, and some of them are doing good despite the missing verified checkmark on their profile.
