Escape From Tarkov: How to avoid the “breathing sound” when wearing a helmet with face shield?

Escape From Tarkov has been quite a treaty lately. As we’re getting richer, we can allow ourselves to play with higher quality gear, equip helmets with visors or get the tanky Altyn Helmet on your head. But in a game like this, every action comes with a reaction—a lingering interference. For example, when you wear a helmet with a visor or face shield ON, you can hear your character panting like he’s having a seizure. Lucky for you, there’s a way to alleviate this, and we’re here to talk about it.

Escape From Tarkov How to Avoid Gasping in Helmets with Visors

The bitter part is that this walkthrough works only for USECs, and it’s more like a bug rather than anything else. Do not tell Nikita I said this, but many USECs have started using it. Sorry Nikita, but we look at it as an opportunity. The method for achieving this or stopping the character from wheezing when having face shield ON begs a slight change in the settings. Let’s take a look at it below:

  1. Go to settings.
  2. Click on the “Audio” tab.
  3. Set Character voice language to Josh and click change.
  4. Save your settings and witness the outcome.

After doing this, even if you turn OFF the visor in a raid and turn it back ON, it wouldn’t impact your breathing, and your character will be completely silent. The only panting you’d hear is when you lose your stamina or is before a complete breakdown.

I would not encourage you to do this, but seeing multiple streamers using the same Character voice made me write about this. It offers a decent advantage over others, and using it would encourage BSG to fix it ASAP.

My goal is to deliver fresh news and updates, but most of the time I want to work on guides. Since I have rebooted this website, I am planning on making it huge. Just you wait!
