It’s exciting to hear that Battlefield V will be transitioning to the standard EA Anti-Cheat, because it didn’t have any and it looked really bad for the game itself. While I have no clue why Easy Anti-Cheat isn’t being adopted, EA seems to have a different plan.
Today, the developer has revealed that no one would notice the transition as it will be seamless, and players might just need to relog to continue playing. The full message can be found below.
EA Dice really talks about Fair Play, when in fact their anti-cheat doesn’t do anything against experienced hackers, especially when seeing giants like Easy Anti-Cheat and BattlEye struggling against them too, and they have far more data and experience from multiple games.
Even Apex Legends, who has recently been hit by cheaters in a live online tournament, is being secured by Easy Anti-Cheat, who by the way does its work the best it can, not just there, but in any other game. If you remember, throughout the past, Easy Anti-Cheat was primary anti-cheat solution of Battlefield 2042 too, which has transitioned over to EA anti-cheat too. Unlike Battlefield 2042, Battlefield V was missing a proper anti-cheat, and this addition could help players enjoy the game a bit more.

As part of our ongoing efforts to create a safe and fair experience for all players we’re transitioning Battlefield 2042 over to EA anticheat in October 2023, and Battlefield V in April 2024.
When we transition over to EA anticheat you won’t notice anything different when logging in and playing, but this transition will enable our teams to be better equipped to find and remove players that don’t play fair.
When we say PTFO we also mean ensuring fair play across the Battlefield. The rollout of EA anticheat to Battlefield 2042 and Battlefield V is part of this ongoing effort, and we’ll continue making adjustments and improvements towards fair play.
