E3 2020 Officially Cancelled Due To The Coronavirus

The organizators of E3 2020 (The Electronic Entertainment Expo 2020) have decided to cancel the event due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The virus has reached the pandemic potential even far earlier than now but wasn’t scary for E3 2020, not until now.

E3 2020 has already gone into history, trying to avoid today’s horrific events. This was announced earlier today by ESA, the official media representation for E3. The dangers of the Coronavirus are still in the ascending phase, which has led to a tough decision that saddened the gaming population across the globe.

After careful consultation with our member companies regarding the health and safety of everyone in our industry – our fans, our employees, our exhibitors, and our longtime E3 partners – we have made the difficult decision to cancel E3 2020, scheduled for June 9-11 in Los Angeles.

Furthermore:

Following increased and overwhelming concerns about the COVID-19 virus, we felt this was the best way to proceed during such an unprecedented global situation. We are very disappointed that we are unable to hold this event for our fans and supporters. But we know it’s the right decision based on the information we have today.

Even before the official cancellation, the state of the E3 event was on thin legs. Still, at least its occurrence was optimistic, despite the fact of whether or not the event will take place due to the Coronavirus global outbreak.

Furthermore, ESA has stated that E3 2021 will be a wholly renovated event that brings fans, media, and industry in one place. No further notice.

The thing is, a virus of this caliber is scary, and we’re completely devastated for the coming future. Not only may it impact the gaming industry (as it already does), but instead, shatter the whole world into pieces.

My goal is to deliver fresh news and updates, but most of the time I want to work on guides. Since I have rebooted this website, I am planning on making it huge. Just you wait!
