Techland’s Dying Light 2 has been delayed to 2022. The open-world RPG will not honor its last release date schedule on December 7, 2021. It’s not going to be the first release date alteration, but for the players’ sake and gameplay experience, it is better to see it delayed to February 4, 2022. Dying Light 2 Stay Human has witnessed a couple of delays since 2018, and it’s good to see the development team working hard to ensure professionalism and meet high expectations on release.
Sadly, no parkour will be endured, as the streets with infected and ruthless enemies will remain closed until 2022. In a recent statement, the CEO of Techland has stated that “the team is steadily progressing with the production and the game is nearing the finish line. The game is complete and we are currently playtesting it. It is by far the biggest and the most ambitious project we’ve ever done. Unfortunately, we’ve realized for us to bring the game to the level we envision, we need more time to polish and optimize it.”
The official statement for the postponement of Dying Light 2 can be found below, posted by Dying Light’s official Twitter profile.
