Capcom has confirmed that Dragon’s Dogma 2 has sold more than 4 million copies worldwide. The announcement appeared on the game’s official social account and cites the milestone as of November 5, 2025. The sequel launched in March 2024, so the title reached this mark in roughly 20 months. The game hit its first significant milestone early on, clearing 3 million sales in its opening months, and has continued to sell steadily since.
Players have been quick to celebrate the figure and ask a very reasonable follow-up question: where is the expansion? The original Dragon’s Dogma later received the Dark Arisen expansion, and many Arisen are hoping the sequel follows the same path. Capcom has not made any public announcement about additional paid expansions or a Dark Arisen-style package for Dragon’s Dogma 2.
Thank you to the 4 million Arisen around the world!
We’re grateful to share the immersive fantasy world of Dragon’s Dogma 2 with you all, where freedom and adventure await.– The Dragon's Dogma 2 Team

Selling four million units puts Dragon’s Dogma 2 in the same ballpark as other recent mid to large-scale launches, such as Arc Raiders, passing four million sales, which was reported earlier this year. For Capcom, this result looks solid, given that the game had rough edges at launch but also strong player engagement.
Capcom has issued patches and updates since the release, and the game received another update earlier in 2025. Whether that continued support will turn into a full expansion remains unconfirmed. Still, the sales number will at least make the idea harder to ignore for any publisher executive doing the math.
