After a long wait, DOOM: The Dark Ages players on PS5 will finally see relief from a frustrating trophy bug. Update 1.006, a small download exclusive to the PS5, targets the infamous Berserker trophy that refused to unlock for some users despite meeting all requirements.
Here’s the skinny: the patch focuses solely on fixing this trophy glitch, which has been a thorn in the side of the community since the game launched on PS5. Previous updates, including one that fixed downgraded visuals, didn’t tackle this issue. If you’ve been chasing that trophy, this patch might just be your golden ticket.
Patch Details: Berserker Trophy Bug Fixed
According to id Software, the hotfix “resolves the issue some users have been experiencing where they were unable to unlock the Berserker Achievement/Trophy upon obtaining the necessary upgrades.”
That’s it. No other bugs or gameplay changes were addressed in this update. It’s kinda wild that this one trophy could cause so much grief for so long, but at least it’s finally sorted.
If you haven’t tried DOOM: The Dark Ages yet, it’s worth checking out. Our review praised it as potentially the best single-player game of the year so far, with a hefty campaign packed full of secrets and collectibles that keep you hooked.
Keep an eye out here for any future patches, and if another update drops, we’ll have the details for you ASAP.
