The Game Awards is scheduled for Thursday, December 9, 2021, and it is just a couple of hours away from its start. The eighth edition of the annual event is set to take place on Thursday, December 9 at 7:30 pm EST/4:30 PST, with a pre-show that begins now and lasts three hours long. The main show starts promptly at 8 pm EST / 5 pm PST, where you can watch award winners get their prizes while also getting excited about the upcoming games.
The YouTube player for the event is already up and running, and you can find it embedded just above the article. There will be speeches and awards, trailers for movies or video games, reveals about new releases coming out this year, and some celebrities. Aside from that, it’s been confirmed that the event is promised to showcase six “major” game reveals.
More than ten world premieres are promised only in the pre-show itself with triple-A flavor. Four to five of the world premieres are expected to be on the level of Elden Ring. This year’s The Game Awards will be a night of gaming excellence, with performances from some industry favorites and newcomers. This includes Shang-Chi star Simu Liu and Carrie Anne Moss appearing alongside Keanu Reeves, who will join the show again this year!
