Today’s the day for PlayStation’s State of Play broadcast. In 8 hours from the time of this writing, we’re bound to see a slew of exciting updates and announcements. If you’re on the lookout for the latest news on PS VR2 games, indie titles, and major upcoming releases, you’ll want to make sure your reminders are set.
The event is set to kick off at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 10pm BST. You can catch all the action live on various platforms including YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok. The YouTube player is embedded at the top of the article, so you can watch it here too!
Shawne Benson, the Head of Portfolio at PlayStation’s Global Third Party Relations team, teased us on the PlayStation blog with hints about what to expect. While the broadcast is said to revolve around updates for previously announced titles, it will also shine a spotlight on PS VR2 games, upcoming indie sensations, and some major games from third party partners. The duration of the broadcast, however, remains a mystery.
One major speculation among fans and critics alike is whether Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, slated to release in just over a month, will make an appearance. Considering the upcoming round of hands-on previews due in a couple of days, it’s quite likely we’ll get another sneak peek at the highly anticipated sequel.
But that’s not all! We may also see glimpses of previously announced PlayStation Studios titles that are being developed by external partners. Games like Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin are certainly on the radar and might just get some screen time.
