Spirit secured the first playoff spot at the StarLadder Budapest Major after a three-map series win over MOUZ, and Danil “donk” Kryshkovets has been the standout, averaging a 1.73 rating across five maps. donk opened the series on Mirage with two aces and later posted three high-impact quad kills, finishing the map 24-12 with a 2.25 rating. The 1.73 average sits just behind his IEM Katowice number and marks one of his strongest Major showings.
Even as donk piled up the flash numbers, Spirit got consistent impact from Leonid “chopper” Vishnyakov and Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov. The trio combined to swing rounds back in Spirit’s favour on multiple occasions, turning a nine-round MOUZ halftime lead on Train into a comeback and closing out Overpass with timely openers and clutches. MOUZ found answers of their own. Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás produced a clean 1v2 Galil clutch and followed with a quad kill that helped MOUZ run to a dominant nine-round half on Train before Spirit chipped away in the second half. The final map featured several economy swings and a late 1v2 that forced extra time before Spirit finished the job.
donk’s recent run has clear antecedents. He carried a high-impact tournament showing into the summer, including a 142 ADR performance in Cologne and top ratings during the IEM Cologne semi-finals, which signalled he was building toward this Major form. donk’s 142 ADR and IEM Cologne semi-finals coverage chart that progression.
Stat lines tell most of the story but not all of it. Spirit’s patient economy play and timely doubles from tN1R and sh1ro on the decider kept MOUZ from stalling Spirit’s momentum, and chopper’s multi-role contributions helped the unit close rounds that might otherwise have gone the other way. Fans should expect Spirit to enter the playoff bracket with donk still operating as their primary firepower while the rest of the roster supplies dependable support and clutch moments.
