Two expected games, Directive 8020 and Terminator 2D: NO FATE, have had their release dates pushed back. This means fans will have to wait a bit longer to jump into these sci-fi and action-packed adventures, but hopefully, the extra time will pay off with a smoother experience.

Directive 8020, developed by Supermassive, was originally scheduled to launch on October 2nd, 2025. However, it will now arrive sometime in the first half of 2026. This sci-fi survival horror title sends players on a tense deep space mission where a deadly alien stalks the ship’s dark corridors, threatening humanity’s survival. The story unfolds like a movie, filled with tense moments that demand quick thinking, stealth, and crafting weapons from scavenged parts.

One of the game’s interesting features is the Turning Points story tree, which allows players to make major choices that can lead to different endings, secret routes, and even the opportunity to save crewmates from death. It sounds like it might add some replay value and narrative twists, but we’ll have to see how it all plays out.

Meanwhile, Terminator 2D: NO FATE, published by Reef Entertainment, was planned for a September 5th release but will now launch on October 31st. It’s a 2D action platformer with a retro vibe, where you play as iconic characters like Sarah Connor and the T-800, battling the T-1000 and trying to stop Skynet’s plans.

The game will also let you step into John Connor’s shoes as he leads the Resistance in the future war against machines. The story will blend famous scenes from Terminator 2: Judgment Day with new sequences and multiple possible endings. Fans of the franchise might find this mix of nostalgia and fresh content appealing.

Delays always sting a bit, especially when you’re hyped, but they might mean these games will come out feeling more polished. Have you been looking forward to either of these titles? What do you think about the delay?
