Battlefield 6 will include mouse and keyboard support on consoles, DICE has confirmed, which is a notable choice for players who prefer precision controls. This update matters because it affects how players will experience the game across platforms, and it might influence matchmaking dynamics.

Producer Alexia Christofi answered a fan on social media with a straightforward confirmation: “We have it!” So yes, if you want to plug in a mouse and keyboard on your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S, you will be able to do that in Battlefield 6. That’s a solid bit of news for folks who lean toward that setup.

Now, about whether mouse and keyboard players will be matched separately from controller players, it’s not officially nailed down yet. But it seems likely that, like in Call of Duty, all players might share the same pool. That approach helps keep matches full and lively, though it can raise questions about fairness. Guess they’re hoping it works out well.

Besides mouse and keyboard support, Battlefield 6 will feature a form of skill-based matchmaking. DICE is also asking the community what matters most in a server browser, so they seem interested in feedback on multiplayer features. This could mean some customization options might be on the way.

The game is scheduled to launch on October 10 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. So there’s not much longer to wait before seeing how these features play out. And hey, will you be trying mouse and keyboard on your console? I’m curious to hear what you think about that choice!
