The high hopes surrounding the Nintendo Switch 2 continue to build, particularly as publishers like Devolver Digital express excitement about its potential. In their latest annual investor report, Devolver highlighted how successful their titles have been on the original Switch, selling over 9 million copies. This success has them looking forward to new opportunities with the upcoming console.
In their report, Devolver stated that the original Switch represents their most popular platform for game releases. The company noted that three of its titles—Starseeker, Human Fall Flat 2, and Enter the Gungeon 2—were showcased during a recent Nintendo Direct event.
The catalog of Devolver games that have made waves on the Switch includes hits like:
- Hotline Miami
- Always Sometimes Monsters
- The Talos Principle
- Reigns: Three Kingdoms
- The Plucky Squire
The Switch 2 is expected to launch on June 5. However, there are concerns regarding whether Nintendo will increase the price due to ongoing tariffs related to international trade policies. Preorders were initially scheduled for April 9 but were postponed because of these tariffs; Nintendo has yet to confirm a new start date for US preorders, though updates could come soon.
