Season 7 of Destiny 2 may bring a lot of changing to its arsenal. Most likely, it’s bound to nerf a lot of the Exotic Weapons, which are either highly favored and operated by the players. That being said as Exotic changes, the Bungie won’t miss the opportunity to tweak the Exotic Armor as well.
Destiny 2 Season 7 has detailed some of the nerfs, as the Whisper of the Work exotic sniper rifle is already scheduled for downgrade, that will cause upsets in the PvP and PvE as well. The Nail Perk that allowed to replenish 3 bullets after hitting 3 successful shots won’t be as viable.
The nerf is supposed to push players to other builds and weapons, but now that other weapons are getting nerfs too, it is less likely that anyone would put an argument to that. In general, Season 7 is here to decimate lots of nerfs instead of buffs, which may both turn into a successful or lousy weapon balance.
Exotic Weapons Nerf
Other weapons such as Lord of Wolves, Sleeper Simulant and Ace of Spades are compelled to receive nerfs too. Below you may see more details about their nerfs.
- Lord of Wolves – 20% PvE damage nerf. Release the Wolves perk is getting a rework too.
- Sleeper Simulant – Bounce shot damage reduce.
- Ace of Spades – One of the player’s PvP favorite. Memento Mori Perk is put to a stop after holstering.
Exotic Armor Nerf
Regenerating Player’s supers is not going to be an easy task because of the recent announcement, and Bungie is here to hopefully settle things a lot better. Therefore, alongside the Exotic Weapon nerfs, there will be Exotic Armor nerfs too. Certain details are still missing, but a couple of armors will be stopped of regenerating supers. You can find them below:
- Orpheus Rigs
- Skull of Dire Ahamkara
- Gwisin Vest
- Phoenix Protocol
- Shards of Galanor
- Ursa Furiosa
Even though more concrete details about this will be as soon as everything goes live, Bungie’s weekly blog claimed that the balancing is mostly aimed for its PvE environment rather than anything else. Season of Opulence begins on June 4, which is not too far away.
