Destiny 2 servers were taken offline by Bungie on September 9 to deploy patch 9.1.0 across all platforms. The maintenance window will affect sign-on, APIs, and web integrations and is scheduled to last several hours and may require staggered restarts for some consoles.
Patch 9.1.0 is focused on bug fixes, activity-targeted gameplay adjustments, and performance work across multiple systems. Sign-on features may be unavailable. Players who log back in may face queuing and sign-on issues while background maintenance continues, and several web and clan features could remain offline until all systems return to normal. Expect intermittent service as systems are brought back online.

When the update becomes available at the scheduled time, players will be able to log back in, though queues may persist while background tasks finish. Console users who see failed downloads should restart their device and attempt the update again.
When the patch download is posted, CPG will publish the update alongside the full patch notes and any further scheduling changes. If maintenance extends beyond the posted window, CPG will update the timeline to reflect those changes.
