If you haven’t jumped into any of Destiny 2’s DLCs yet, now’s a pretty great moment to try them out. All expansions will be free to play from July 8 to July 22, 2025. This is all in celebration of the upcoming Edge of Fate DLC, which will arrive on July 15, 2025.
Bungie is letting players look at The Witch Queen, Lightfall, and The Final Shape expansions at no cost during this period. What’s kinda cool is that any gear you earn during this free access window will stick with you even after it ends. So, you can experiment without worrying about losing progress.
Earn an arsenal of exotic and legendary gear as you prepare for your first steps into a new saga.

The Edge of Fate will kick off a new saga for Guardians, involving cosmic mysteries and the enigmatic entity known as The Nine. Players will be heading to Kepler, a mysterious planetoid shrouded in dark matter and affected by a singularity. The DLC will also introduce new destination abilities powered by The Nine, which could shake things up a bit.
Alongside the DLC, Bungie will release a Year of Prophecy Edition that bundles two campaigns: The Edge of Fate and Renegades. It also includes access to a new Raid and Dungeon, while the standalone Edge of Fate DLC offers only the Raid.
