According to Conan O’Brien and the recent video of Teamcoco, Death Stranding is not any closer to a full release, and according to the talks, it may delay for a longer period than expected. There is a reason why Conan went to visit Kojima productions, and it’s most likely a good one.
Death Stranding still remains a mystery and no one knows anything about the game. The trailers haven’t revealed anything important as well, and it will probably stay that way. The words coming out of Conan’s mouth simply strengthen the fact that the game is far away from release too:
I didn’t go all the way to Kojima Productions too… They’re working on a very top secret video game that’s called Death Stranding and no one’s allowed to know anything about it. I mean they released a few clips here and there but its top secret and we shot there and it’s another world. But, we can’t show anything yet because it’s too far from when the game is coming out. That’s one of those things that’s out there, we’ve launched it, it’s circling the earth, and then it’s gonna zip in at just the perfect time, and everyone is gonna freak out.
Further discoveries of Death Stranding’s path may be discovered at The Game Awards 2018. Since the game will make an appearance over there, we’ll be looking at it closely, hoping for a release date. Nevertheless, Death Stranding’s mystery is about to reveal at a later stage, rather than being revealed at this current time.
