NetEase confirmed Deadpool as a playable character for Marvel Rivals during The Game Awards 2025. The studio says the Merc with a Mouth will arrive as the marquee pick for Season 6, titled Night at the Museum, when the season goes live on January 16, 2026.
NetEase showed a reveal trailer at the show that presents Wade Wilson in his classic red suit and leans into the character’s sarcastic, self-aware tone. The studio has not yet detailed Deadpool’s exact abilities, but the trailer frames him as a trickster-style combatant who should introduce chaotic, close-range options to the existing roster.
Season 6 will follow the content added in Season 5; readers can revisit the Marvel Rivals Season 5 rollout for context on recent hero roles and the new Times Square social hub. NetEase has been balancing characters across modes and has previously signaled systems work such as placement matches to address ranked play, though those systems arrived separately from character releases.
Check the official reveal trailer below for the initial look at Deadpool in-game. NetEase has set a clear date for when players can try Deadpool, and more detailed ability and balance notes will likely follow in the studio’s Season 6 patch and hero guides ahead of launch.
