The development team behind Dead Island 2 has announced that they’re delaying the game for a few months. The release date will now be on April 28, 2023, instead of February 3rd, 2022. They say this because the game is not ready quite yet, and there are some last-minute features needed before launch.
The development of Deep Silver’s Dead Island 2 is obviously having some troubles. The announcement of the delay came through Dead Island’s official Twitter profile, where the Dambuster Studios explicitly claims its disappointment.
The irony of delaying Dead Island 2 is not lost on us and we are as disappointed as you undoubtedly are. We’re going to take the time we need to make sure we can launch a game we’re proud to launch. For those of you who’ve been waiting for years, thank you for hanging in there with us.
Furthermore, the developer wants to ensure a robust and enduring product. At least there’s something to be happy about, as Dambuster Studios claimed tha there will be an official gameplay trailer sharing a glimpse at Dead Island 2 on December 6.
