CS2 developer Valve‘s competitive scene has seen a roster change as Falcons released Magisk, who has moved to Astralis. The change matters because Magisk joined the Falcons in December 2023 during a team overhaul, and Astralis confirmed the signing while stavn steps away for personal reasons.
The Falcons team page announced that benched player Magisk’s player profile shows he was released from his contract. The club noted the 27-year-old had been benched before the separation. Falcons’ decision clears a roster spot and opens the door for a quick replacement. The post tied up a brief chapter that began late last year.
Astralis confirmed that Magisk will replace Martin “stavn” Lund, who is stepping down for personal reasons, and published their own confirmation at Astralis confirm Magisk return. Magisk won three of his four Major titles with Astralis earlier in his career, which gives the move a sense of familiarity. The organisation framed the swap as an immediate change to the roster. The announcement leaves some questions about Falcons’ next signings.
Magisk originally joined Falcons in December 2023 when the squad also added Pavle “Maden” Bošković and Álvaro “SunPayus” García from the ENCE team page. The Falcons’ rebuild later included a player page for dupreeh, a former teammate of Astralis and Vitality. The arrivals list also shows Maden’s player page and SunPayus’s player page. Falcons did not provide a timetable for further moves.
