Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is here to bring the shine of CTR back

Who wouldn’t love to re-experience the classic racing experience hidden within Crash Team Racing? Dating since 1999 and now with a complete remaster, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled can be found on the PlayStation, Nintendo, and Xbox One channels with the same old mechanics but nowadays graphics. The nostalgic satisfaction is back at stake, shall you master it once again or not.

As we stated, the first appearance of Crash Team Racing occurred before 20 years, with a release to PlayStation. Being able to play the kart racing game in front of our TVs made it so special — especially when played with friends in split screen over a cup of coffee. Luckily, technology progressed to a point where you can still play with friends, but online.

No more split screens, as it will cut the struggles for everyone. Being able to play it from home at any given time, it just makes this game a lot more beautiful. So far, re-experiencing everything makes me feel godlike.

Keep in mind before accounting this as a complete review, as it is still a work in progress. We’re just too excited from the game’s presence so we cannot take our hands off of it.

Graphics and Online Play

Graphics are reinvented, and they look 100 times better. The online gameplay is simply a beauty, as we said, you’ll no longer need a physical companion to enjoy playing the game together. Instead, you can invite your friends online and race to infinity and beyond.

Maps and Shortcuts

The developer Beenox and Activision have done exceptional work on the game, especially with the perfect remaster of the same routes as in 1999. Yes, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled owns the same maps as before, including the same shortcuts. So, we’ll be covering them at a later stage surely.

Each map has its segment from which players can benefit. Mastering the

Items and Powerups

We haven’t noticed any change in the items, which means they are the same as in the original title, with ultimately the same type of mechanics. Without any rework, that strengthens the game’s integrity, and it adds the 1999’s kick to it. Wumpa Fruits are there as well, and gaining them will empower your items. Tnt’s become Nitros which explode instantly (Can be used to block the tracing rocket) Green Shield will transform into Blue, Green Epruvette will turn into Red, etc.

Overall, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is THE game in which newcomers would feel welcomed, and old masterminds would escort their nostalgic need.
