Counter-Strike 2 Workshop adds paid licensing for community skins and a Call to Arms contest

Valve introduces optional Supplemental Terms for releasing Counter-Strike 2 Workshop items on December 5, 2025, and the change arrives after recent work on a CS2 beta build. The new Supplemental Terms let Steam users license eligible Workshop creations for flat fees. Listed prices are $35,000 for a weapon finish and $6,000 each for a sticker or a charm. Accounts that accept the terms can have all of their Workshop items distributed in places where community items were previously unavailable, including The Armory.

Valve links the legal details under the Workshop agreement, and the page is available as the Supplemental Terms for the Counter-Strike 2 Workshop tool. Alongside the licensing option, Valve opened a Call to Arms submission window and listed themes developers want for an upcoming update. Weapon finishes in the Call to Arms should draw from Arabesque Art and Arabian Mythology or Spy/Tech. Sticker themes are Auto Racing and Fruits and Vegetables. Creators must re-submit existing Workshop items and tag them with the new options using the updated Workshop tool.

A Call to Arms-ory

As part of a future update, we are looking for weapon finishes inspired by two themes:

  • Arabesque Art and Arabian Mythology

  • Spy/Tech

We are also looking for stickers inspired by two different themes:

  • Auto Racing

  • Fruits and Vegetables

To submit weapon finishes and/or stickers to the Call to Arms, select the appropriate option using the updated Counter-Strike 2 Workshop Tool:

Valve also released a new Dr. Boom charm model that can be painted and submitted for a future community charm collection. The update adds a new Paint Kit type called Custom Paint Job Extended with options such as iridescence and other visual features. The changes mark a clearer pathway for creators who want paid placement in the game, and they push more Workshop content toward Valve-managed storefront spaces and community collections.

I've spent half of my life playing video games, ever since the competitive 1.6 era. Now I am happily married to Margarita Kicevski, and have two beautiful children. My goal is to deliver fresh news and updates, but most of the time I want to work on guides. Since I have rebooted this website, I am planning on making it huge. Just you wait!
