Mythic difficulty in World of Warcraft just got its first real challenge cracked open. After many guilds stayed clear of the first boss, Plexus Sentinel, for over a day, a sudden push began, and a clear winner emerged quickly. Consequence took the lead by downing the boss in just two attempts, setting a new benchmark for the raid.
During North American prime raiding hours, several guilds tried their luck at the boss. Their best attempts hovered around 60% health remaining, slowly improving but not enough to secure the kill. Then Consequence arrived, and on their very first pull, they brought the Sentinel down to a mere 2.7%. Though their tanks barely survived, it was clear the end was near.
Only one more pull was needed for Consequence to claim their first ever World First. This time, the boss fell with all 20 players still standing. Quite a feat, considering how many guilds struggled to get close.
For those who want to see the full kill in action, here’s the video:
Mythic has finally been breached. Hopefully, more guilds will jump into this brutal difficulty soon. Consequence is already moving on to the next boss, so we might see even more interesting kills coming. Even if they don’t get another World First, their achievement deserves big applause.
