Rockstar Games just dropped some juicy details about GTA 6’s map, and trust me, it’s a lot to take in! The game’s official website and trailers have confirmed at least six major locations, including the iconic Vice City, plus some fresh spots that add a whole new vibe to the game. If you’ve been waiting to see where you’ll be causing chaos next, this update is definitely worth your attention.
According to Rockstar’s official GTA 6 site, the game will feature a variety of places across the state of Leonida. From bustling cities to wild natural areas, the map promises plenty of diversity for players to experience.
Vice City
Vice City, inspired by Miami, Florida, is the central urban hub in GTA 6. It’s described as the “sun and fun capital of America,” with neighborhoods that each bring something different to the table. Pastel art deco hotels and bright white sands at Ocean Beach, lively panaderías in Little Cuba, and the quirky Tisha-Wocka flea market. Plus, the VC Port is known as the cruise ship capital of the world. The city looks lively and packed with life, and I can’t wait to see what kind of trouble we’ll get into here!
Leonida Keys
The Leonida Keys are a tropical archipelago filled with bars and chill spots, perfect for kicking back. But don’t get too comfortable — the waters around here are as dangerous as they are beautiful. Rockstar’s description warns players to watch their backs, which sounds like a recipe for some wild moments.
Grassrivers
Known as the “untamable jewel,” Grassrivers is a wild region full of mangroves and dangerous wildlife. While gators are the famous residents, there are deadlier predators lurking around, plus some strange discoveries waiting to be found. This area looks like it’s packed with mystery and danger — perfect for players who love a bit of edge.
Port Gellhorn
Port Gellhorn is described as a “once-was” town with cheap motels, empty strip malls, and shuttered attractions that keep tourists away. But don’t be fooled — there’s still plenty happening here, just not the kind of activity you’d want to brag about. The area is fueled by malt liquor, painkillers, and truck stop energy drinks, so if you’re hopping on a dirt bike here, hold tight and watch your wallet!
Ambrosia
Ambrosia is a blue-collar town centered around the Allied Crystal sugar refinery, which provides most of the jobs. The town also has a biker gang that seems to run the place, adding a rough edge to the community. It’s a different vibe from the glitz of Vice City, and I’m curious to see how the story unfolds here.
Mount Kalaga National Park
Located along the northern border of Leonida, Mount Kalaga National Park offers hunting, fishing, and off-road trails. But watch out for the “hillbilly mystics and paranoid radicals” who live off the grid here. This area looks like it could be a wild mix of nature and unpredictable encounters.
Many fans wonder if the Vice City in GTA 6 is the same as the classic one we all know and love. Rockstar hasn’t confirmed this yet, but the game’s map is said to be the largest in the series so far. The new Vice City will likely be bigger and more detailed than the original, but we’ll have to wait for more info to be sure.
GTA 6 is scheduled to launch on May 26, 2026. At release, it will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A PC version is expected to come later, so if you’re holding out for that, it might be a bit of a wait.
