CoD: Warzone Will Support PS5 and Xbox Series X

So far, CoD: Warzone is holding firm grounds, with a success that’s still racking up quite decently. Advancing further, the developer shared insight regarding its outstanding position, and the phenomenon is planned to continue on future platforms. According to Infinity Ward, Xbox Series X and PS5 will be fully supported, and CoD: Warzone will be playable.

In a recent interview with GamerGen, the narrative director Taylor Kurosaki shared insight info and planned to continue the sensation. The question and the answer can be found below:

Maybe you’re not allowed to talk about it too, but I’ll try : any Warzone or Modern Warfare port on PS5 or Xbox Series X ? Will it only be backward compatible or are you planning « new versions » ?

I know that our plan is Warzone is going to be around for quite some time, so as soon as those new systems are out and available I’m sure we’ll support them.

It is somewhat dubious speaking about the new consoles and games offering full support for them this early. Both the PS5 and Xbox Series X have promised backward compatibility, and we’ll see what it comes to once they make their way to the shelves.

CoD: Warzone, as it is, a free-to-play game, is expected to hold an audience for the rest of its existence. As long as the game offers content considered to be entertaining for the player base, CoD: Warzone will most probably shine on the gaming scene.
