Black Ops Cold War is a sequel to the Black Ops game from 2010. The release date is slated for November 13, when the game will be fully accessible worldwide. The file sizes differ on all platforms, with the PC version weighing more than the consoles. Recently, Treyarch discovered that the preloading for the current-gen consoles will begin on November 5, while PC players will have to wait until November 10. Respectively, the next-gen consoles can start preloading on November 10. The PC version is expected to be much bigger than the console.

Next Generation Consoles: Pre-loading will be available on their respective launch dates (November 10th for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, November 12th for PlayStation 5).
PS4 Preloading
Those who have pre-ordered the game on the PlayStation 4 can preload on November 5th and November 6th. It seems that the PS4 users will download the smallest amount of data, ~70GB in total.

Xbox One preloading – Updated
Unlike the PlayStation, Xbox and Activision did not provide an official preload date.
- Xbox One: Pre-loading will be available on November 5th at 9 PM. PT.
- Xbox One File Size: 93GB
- Xbox Series X/S File Size: 136GB
The file size is expected to be slightly different than the PlayStation and may incur a slightly bigger file size. Microsoft stated that it would be ~100GB.
PC Preloading – Updated
CoD: Black Ops Cold War will offer a preload option on PC, exclusively through Blizzard’s Battle.net launcher. The file size is more intensive than the consoles, and it is expected to be around 175 GB.
- PC: Pre-loading will be available on November 10th at 10 AM PT.
- PC File Size: 35 GB (Multiplayer Only) / 82GB (Full Game) / 125GB (Full Game on Ultra Graphics)
Early Access
Sometimes, games like CoD tend to go live earlier than their designated release date. This means that players would be able to hop in the game earlier.
