All thanks to the shining period of CoD: Modern Warfare and Warzone and its milestones, for which players expect to shiver into more refined and exciting gameplay.
The Black Ops Cold War Beta is there to represent its beauty ahead of November’s full release. But, before we jump deeper, let’s take a look at the exact release times. First of all, we know that on the PS4, the preload is already available for everyone. The download is around 32GB, which inspires the possibility of slightly larger file size on the PC platform.
Black Ops Cold War beta release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One
Sony’s PlayStation 4 has a massive advantage over other platforms. Owners of the PS4 console will get a slight edge over the others due to the release date. This exclusivity is of a minor caliber, and other platforms will follow over the weekends. The exact release dates can be found below:
PlayStation 4 – First Black Ops Cold War beta weekend
- Thursday, October 8 to Friday, October 9 – Beta Access Only
- Saturday, October 10 to Monday, October 10 – Free access for everyone
PC, PS4, Xbox One – Black Ops Cold War beta weekend
Unlike the PS4, PC, and Xbox One, users will get access to Black Ops Cold War’s beta slightly bit later. The PS4 will also have its beta running during the PC and Xbox One period, which gives them a couple of extra days to delve into the fun.
- Thursday, October 15 to Friday, October 16 – Free for PS4 while Xbox One and PC need to have beta access
- Saturday, October 17 to Monday, October 19 – Free for all platforms
Beta access can be obtained by pre-ordering the game, with two extra days of game time available. If you’re scared of not being available to play the game as soon as the beta releases worry not, there will be preload option available for each platform. This will allow players to download all the mandatory files ahead of the Black Ops Cold War start time.
