Classic Diablo 1 Rumored for PC Game Pass Launch in January

Remember the first time you stepped into the world of Diablo? The eerie ambiance, those spine-chilling dungeons, and let’s not forget how many hours we lost to that dark fantasy. If the rumors are accurate, we might relive those moments as soon as whispers suggest that Diablo 1 could join the titles available on PC Game Pass in January.

This exciting tidbit comes from eXtas1s, a YouTuber who seems to have a knack for spilling the tea about upcoming Game Pass additions before they’re officially announced. If you’ve been following along with their updates, you know they’ve had some solid hits in the past.

The talk is that alongside our beloved dungeon crawler, fans can expect to see UFC 5 landing on EA Play through PC Game Pass and Ultimate. It’s like getting two treats for the price of one. What more could we ask for?

Diablo, which first made its mark in January 1997 thanks to Blizzard North, sold around 2.5 million units by early 2001, that’s quite a legacy! And now, with Microsoft having acquired Activision Blizzard in October 2023, it looks like they’re ready to sprinkle some nostalgia into their subscription service.

The latest chapter in this iconic series is Diablo IV, which launched earlier this year and has already raked in over $1 billion as of September 2024. Now that’s impressive! If these rumors pan out, newcomers and long-time fans alike will get a chance to experience where it all began.
