The Game Awards 2025 nominations were revealed during Geoff Keighleys live stream on Monday and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 leads the field with a record 12 nominations. PlayStation platforms are well represented. Death Stranding 2: On The Beach and Ghost of Yōtei each received eight nominations, and Hades II follows with six. Sony Interactive Entertainment is the most-nominated publisher overall with 19 nods, followed by Kepler Interactive with 13, and Microsoft and Electronic Arts with 10 each.
The nominees for Game of the Year are Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, Donkey Kong Bananza, Hades II, Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II.
Other category highlights include Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and Hollow Knight: Silksong in Best Independent Game, and voice and performance nominations for Ben Starr, Charlie Cox, and Jennifer English for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 alongside Erika Ishii for Ghost of Yōtei and Troy Baker for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Music and score nominees include Lorien Testard for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Darren Korb for Hades II, and Woodkid and Ludvig Forssell for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach.
Winners will be decided by a blended vote that weights the voting jury at 90 percent and public fan voting at 10 percent. Fans can cast votes until December 10 at 6 pm PT using online voting on The Game Awards site. There are 27 award categories in total. The show will stream live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Thursday, December 11, 2025, and will include new game announcements and performances by The Game Awards Orchestra.
