Can you believe it’s been 10 years since Cities: Skylines took the gaming world by storm? 🎉 A decade of creativity, community, and some seriously impressive city-building! As we celebrate this milestone, the team at Colossal Order is throwing a month-long party packed with new content, events, and—wait for it—free goodies!

To kick things off, they’re rolling out a special anniversary roadmap that promises to make March unforgettable. From awesome new assets to contests and events, it’s all about thanking the fans who’ve made this journey possible. Colossal Order shared their heartfelt gratitude, saying, “…thanks to the continued support of our amazing fans, we had the opportunity to keep growing and building this game and community many years after its release.” Seriously, how cool is that?

As part of the celebrations, Cities: Skylines II is getting a special anniversary patch on March 18, featuring 10 free assets, including a revamped Chirper! Because who doesn’t love a little Chirper action at a party? 🐦 Plus, there are three brand-new Creator Packs and three fresh radio stations to add even more flair to your urban developments.

Cities: Skylines II Releases | Coming 18th March 2025

Cities: Skylines II Anniversary Special patch – 10 free assets!

  • A special anniversary patch featuring 10 free assets.
  • Three new Creator Packs that expand your city’s charm.
  • Three additional radio stations to vibe with your cities.

Let’s break down these Creator Packs because they’re not just any packs; they’re crafted by community creators who really know what makes cities come alive:

Dragon Gate

This pack by Emperor Li brings a splash of Chinese culture right into your city! Think vibrant market quarters filled with shopping streets adorned with lanterns and traditional temples. It’s like stepping into an Asian-inspired wonderland!

Leisure Venues

If you want your citizens to have fun (and who doesn’t?), Gruny’s Leisure Venues Creator Pack is what you need. Packed with parks, dining spots, and nightlife venues, it’s all about creating that perfect hangout scene!

Mediterranean Heritage

Zarrix takes us on a trip through time with buildings from Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Southern France. This pack adds an elegant touch of Mediterranean architecture that’ll make your city look like it’s straight out of a travel magazine!

New Radio Stations

The music scene gets an upgrade too with:

  • Atmospheric Piano Station: Perfect for those serene afternoon strolls in the park.
  • Jade Road Station: A mix of traditional and contemporary Chinese tunes for that cultural flair.
  • Feelgood Funk Station: Get ready to groove with some feel-good hits from the ’70s!

Cities: Skylines Releases | Coming 25th March 2025

The fun doesn’t stop there! On March 25th, two more Creator Packs will drop alongside another relaxing radio station. It’s like they’re giving us reasons to keep building forever!

Steam Free To Play, Unique Offers, City Builder & Colony Fest

Build, Play, Celebrate—all Month Long!

If you’ve been curious about Cities: Skylines but haven’t taken the plunge yet, mark your calendars for March 20th-24th. The original game will be available for free during this period! Plus, there’s news about a subscription service for Cities: Skylines that offers access to its massive library of over 65 DLCs. How cool is that?

This month-long celebration is all about inclusivity, whether you’re an old hand or just starting out. So grab your hard hat and get ready to build something fantastic! What do you think? Let us know in the comments!
