The Chinese version of World of Warcraft has launched a new, China-exclusive event called Treasures of Azeroth, which launched on November 18. The event features two customizable panther mounts with several color, mechanical, and component variations, and it was promoted with a fully animated anime-style trailer.
The mounts are not simple palette swaps. Players can mix and match components to alter mechanical details and colors, creating looks that range from sleek and ghostly to heavily armored and mechanical. Custom components appear to be a major part of the appeal, as they let players tune the mount’s style rather than just swapping a skin.
A short trailer shared alongside the event leans hard into anime aesthetics. The clip and fan posts have already spread on social platforms, with at least one high-visibility social post showcasing the panther design and animation.
The CN version of World of Warcraft just introduced a new customisable Panther mount. It launched with a fully animated anime style trailer for the mount and it looks awesome. Hopefully we see it arrive on NA & EU realms too. pic.twitter.com/YWtKlpXrkV

China has seen other exclusive collectibles this year. Earlier, the Void’s Binding Swimwear transmog was released only in China and drew player attention for its regional exclusivity. The new mount additions continue that pattern. The timing overlaps with another China launch. The Titan Reforged Servers also go live on November 18, altering the scaling of old raids, weapons, and tier sets to level 80 on those servers.
Whether the panther mounts will appear on NA or EU realms is unknown. Regional exclusives like this have occasionally seen later, broader releases but sometimes remain locked to the original market. For collectors and transmog hunters, the mounts are already attracting attention for their customization options and presentation style.
