THQ Nordic has just shared a fresh 12-minute gameplay video for Titan Quest 2, showcasing what players will experience in its upcoming Early Access phase. This glimpse matters because it gives us a solid idea of the combat, enemies, and character systems before the Early Access release date is officially announced at the THQN Showcase event tomorrow.
So, what’s in the video? You get to see the core combat mechanics in action, including battles against Ichthian and Undead foes. The clip highlights the mastery system with Storm and Warfare skills, plus how you can reset your skills (aka Re-spec) and use Rituals. The finale is a boss fight against the Hippokampos that looks pretty intense.
In Titan Quest 2, you’ll embark on a journey through ancient myths, exploring sunny beaches, serene Greek temples, and mysterious realms like the secret world of the Moirai. The game features a bunch of monsters from Greek mythology and the original Titan Quest, including Ichthians, Centaurs, Satyrs, Harpies, Sirens, Gryphons, and more. Wow, that’s a lot of mythical creatures to take on!
The character system is flexible. You’ll be able to pick two masteries to build your own class, mixing strengths and weaknesses, experimenting with skill combos, and customizing your hero with various items. This should let you find a playstyle that fits you best. But here’s a question: will this system feel fresh or just like a rehash? We’ll see.
Enemies in the game won’t just be mindless mobs; they’ll form factions and work together, combining their skills to challenge you. So, you’ll have to use every skill and tactic available to survive. Sounds like it’s going to keep you on your toes, right?
Also, Titan Quest 2 will support both solo play and online co-op, letting you team up with friends. Whether there will be cross-play support remains unknown for now.
For those curious, here’s the gameplay video to watch:
So, are you ready to go into this myth-inspired action RPG? I’m curious how the Early Access launch will go, especially with the combat and mastery systems shown here. Stay tuned for the Early Access release date announcement tomorrow during the THQN Showcase!
