Cheaters Hit Battlefield 6 Within a Day of Launch, Clips Show Aim-Assists Getting Through Javelin

Video clips surfaced showing aim-assisted tools in Battlefield 6 shortly after launch, suggesting EA’s Javelin anti-cheat isn’t blocking all offenders; the game is live on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Battlefield 6 launched and, predictably, cheaters showed up fast. Within a day of release, players began sharing clips that show aim-assisted tools revealing and auto-targeting enemies, footage that suggests parts of EA’s kernel-level anti-cheat, Javelin, are still being bypassed.

The clips making the rounds show clear aim assistance and enemy-location overlays. They don’t tell the whole story about scale, but they do prove cheaters are present. Javelin has had wins in previous Battlefield releases like Battlefield 2042 and Battlefield 1, and EA reported blocking more than 330,000 attempts with Javelin during the Open Beta, according to an EA forum post. Still, some cheats are slipping through now that the whole game is live on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

A user on Twitter compared Javelin to Call of Duty’s Ricochet, implying they’re similar. The original post with multiple clips is available here:

Looks like Battlefield 6 is having the same problems with cheaters that Call of Duty has🤷‍♂️

Is Javelin just a copy and paste of Ricochet? Sure looks that way🤣

The same dynamic that draws cheaters to major launches is at play. Popular matches mean visibility. Some cheat to profit, while others do so to gloat. Whatever the motive, it ruins games for everyone else. Battlefield 6 lacks a killcam, leaving players with fewer tools to investigate suspicious deaths. You end up watching kill feeds and movement patterns. If someone is landing nonstop headshots across multiple rounds, that’s a strong indicator. The recommended action is to report suspected cheaters and let EA and the Battlefield Studios investigate.

Console players have fewer options because there’s no console-only crossplay mode right now. Matches will mix PC and console players unless users manually turn crossplay off. That default mix raises tension, since mouse-and-keyboard players on PC typically feel different from controller players on console.

Expect reports and takedowns to climb in the coming days. For now, players who want cleaner matches can report suspects and check settings guides like this one for sensitivity and control tips: Battlefield 6 best settings guide.
