Call of Duty Vanguard doesn’t feel like WW2 game at all

Call of Duty Vanguard got its official multiplayer reveal yesterday. After the technical alpha and the multiplayer reveal yesterday, it’s easy to say that Call of Duty Vanguard doesn’t feel like a WW2 game due to its nature, smoothness, performance, and pace. It’s not only the environment and surrounding that establishes its setting, and I cannot stay beside without acknowledging the other cool features.

If you’re skeptical about its outcome, then think twice. The weapons might be iconic to World War 2, but some look very innovative and absent from the history books due to their design. Not to mention, decorated with cool-looking attachments, sprays and else, their original shape is being traversed into something new. If you’re scared about the transition between different eras due to Call of Duty’s timeline, then you shouldn’t be, at least not with Vanguard.

Aside from the new additions coming to Call of Duty Vanguard, tactical sprint, slide, and every other feature accessible in Modern Warfare and Warzone are integrated here too. When I watched the character models booting up with their tactical sprint, I had a flashback of Modern Warfare. I had too many hours in that game not to notice something peculiar.

I would love to mention the first-ever major improvement to Call of Duty’s destructive environment, with objects slowly crippling away and buildings collapsing as the fight intensifies. Something present in Battlefield for a couple of years now, but not contended by Call of Duty and Activision. Overall, I had a great and exciting moment and cannot wait for the Beta to kick off.

With all the things mentioned above, I can confirm that the gameplay didn’t feel like World War 2. It felt like something new, which aside from the game’s World War 2 lore, it felt like I was playing a next-gen modern multiplayer shooter.
