Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will support Cross-Play

This year’s upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been taken very seriously. Its first look has definitely impressed the fans of the franchise, confirming that another series of Modern Warfare is the way to go. It all comes down to the very first look of the game, and frankly, Activision has done it in style. Now that we have everything we need to know of, we cannot forget the question of whether or not is Infinity Ward going to include Cross-Play.

The reveal trailer can be found below, and not only included a basic introduction, but it also included something you would all love to hear about. That is the Cross-Play Feature. Console players may opt into the same pool with the PC players, leading to a great cross-play experience.

Infinity Ward has definitely reimagined the “Modern Warfare” franchise, and will probably include new mechanics never seen before. The cross-platform multiplayer will be enabled only between Console and PC players, mixing up the PS4, Xbox One, and PC players together.

As noted by the developers, the game will miss adding extra content so that consumers won’t have to pay an additional price. Without a Season Pass, it may develop robust gameplay, possibly setting new standards in the gaming industry, enriched with a good amount of rewards during the player progress. Something that Sledgehammer used to be doing when it had the upper hand in the franchise.

This move will be surely praised by the community, as a notice of how a humble move could generate a lot higher player base. New highs may be set, but we’ll have to wait until October to see its final performance.

According to Infinity Ward:

With the launch of Modern Warfare, the team is taking steps to unite the community. First, the team plans for Modern Warfare to be played together across PC and console through cross-play support.

Cross-play is considered as a very common feature in nowadays’ games. Such as, Rocket League and Fortnite, in which as a feature, it serves the player base very well to settle broader connections and bring friends together. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare comes out on October 29th, 2019.
