Listen up, Call of Duty fans, because we’ve got some serious news coming out today. Activision has officially teased the next big thing in the Black Ops franchise, Black Ops 6, a “dark new chapter” to one of the most exciting series in Call of Duty’s history.
First off, the teaser video. Activision hit us with a short clip hinting at what’s to come. While the teaser doesn’t give away much, it’s enough to get our pulses racing. The game is rumored to launch this October and will be available across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. Despite Microsoft now owning Activision, they’re sticking to their guns and keeping Call of Duty a multiplatform franchise, at least for now. You can find the official post below:

So, what’s the deal with the story? Well, details are scarce, but the word is that Black Ops 6 will dive into the Gulf War. Now, if you’re familiar with Call of Duty, you know this series loves to globetrot through various locations and periods. The Gulf War might be just one piece of a much larger puzzle.
Now, let’s talk characters. It’s rumored that Adler is making a comeback, which should excite fans of the series. The Black Ops games have a history of featuring real-life figures, remember Ronald Reagan in Cold War and Robert McNamara in the original Black Ops? We might see some prominent military and political leaders from the Gulf War era make appearances.
On the development front, Raven Software is reportedly handling the campaign, while Treyarch, the mastermind behind Black Ops, is taking care of multiplayer and Zombies. Treyarch even hinted at their involvement in a social media post. And if history is any indication, Activision’s Call of Duty studios network will likely chip in to bring this game to life.
