A leak suggests that Call of Duty‘s next PS5 update, 01.080.000, will reduce the game’s install size by roughly 100 GB, shrinking the PS5 build to around 25 GB and making a significant chunk of content optional, a change that would free up primary storage for many players.
The claim comes from a gaming size tracker that added the update to its database and listed previous and new install figures. The entry shows the PS5 install dropping from 126.224 GB to 25.377 GB, while PS4 goes from 81 GB down to 62 GB. The post also links to an updated number for campaign and Warzone-related packs.
The same source noted that update 01.080.000, listed as 1.80 in some reports, would make multiplayer optional, with that component sized at 38.751 GB. If accurate, that would let owners opt out of downloading the multiplayer portion and keep only campaign or Zombies files.
These entries were posted publicly on X and have been circulating across social feeds.
