Bloodborne will run at 30FPS on PS5, while Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice at 60FPS

We’ve recently been getting a lot of news regarding the PS5’s backward compatibility for different types of games. Recently, various sources like Polygon and Digital Foundry confirmed that Bloodborne would stick to the 30FPS it got on the PS4, whereas Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will run at a constant 60FPS. Many fans are surprised, considering that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice came out a few years later after Bloodborne. Speaking about loading times is compelling, as both of them will have a fair share of fast loading screens, thanks to PS5’s powerful hardware.

These games don’t need an introduction since they’re both masterpieces of the RPG genre, but here’s a brief explanation for newcomers.

Bloodborne is one of FromSoftware’s most popular games, exclusive to the PS4, with many people regarding it as one of the best Playstation titles of all time. The game is an action RPG with gameplay similar to FromSoftware’s other games like Dark Souls, inspired heavily by nightmarish Lovecraftian horror.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is another game from FromSoftware which managed to win GOTY 2019 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia. Like Bloodborne, the game is an RPG with many elements inspired by Japanese folklore and Mythology.

With the PS5 set to release on November 12th, stay tuned for more news in the coming weeks.
