Blizzard is all set to unveil Season 1 of Diablo 4. The announcement is scheduled during a developer live stream on July 6 at 11 am PT / 2 pm ET / 7 pm GMT.
Game director Joseph Piepiora and lead game producer Timothy Ismay will spearhead the live stream, where they will also share insights into a multitude of planned quality-of-life improvements for the popular action role-playing game.
Diablo 4’s first season will be in mid to late July. The developer said the player must complete the primary campaign to dive into the new season content. Each season, planned every quarter, is designed to enhance the gameplay experience with new features, questlines, items, and crucial balance changes.
Blizzard’s seasonal content also incorporates a new Battle Pass system each season. Free tiers are set to offer players a range of cosmetics and ‘Smouldering Ashes,’ a currency that can be exchanged for Season Blessings. These blessings confer bonuses such as increased XP, Gold, or Obols.
As players navigate each season, they will be guided by the Season Journey screen. This interface will provide information on the fresh content, objectives required for reaping the season’s rewards, and much more.
