BLAST has announced a partnership with gaming peripheral brand ZOWIE for the upcoming 2025 Fortnite Global Championship, which will take place in early September. This collaboration means ZOWIE’s XL2566X+ gaming monitors will be used on-stage throughout the event, promising players a solid and consistent setup for intense competition.
Attendees will also get to experience ZOWIE’s products firsthand, as the company will have a booth offering on-site service and hands-on technical support for their esports-focused gear. Pretty neat if you’re curious about what makes a monitor gamer-friendly, right?
As the first partner announced for this season-ending event of the Fortnite Champions Series (FNCS), ZOWIE’s involvement is a big deal. The championship will be held at the LDLC Arena in Lyon, France, where 33 teams from around the world will compete for a $2 million prize pool. That’s some serious stakes!
Russell Schneider, VP and Head of Branding and Partnerships at BLAST, shared his excitement about the partnership: “We have worked with ZOWIE for a long time, and this year, we’re delighted to welcome ZOWIE as an official partner for the Fortnite Global Championship. Equipping the tournament with ZOWIE’s monitors ensures a competitive and dependable environment for all players during what promises to be an unmissable weekend in Lyon.” Sounds like they’re confident the monitors will help players perform at their best.
Launched in August 2024, the XL2566X+ monitor is tailored for FPS players and games, so it’s kinda perfect for Fortnite’s fast-paced action. BLAST and ZOWIE have a history, too; they worked together in 2023 for BLAST.tv Paris Major, the final Major of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) era, where the same monitor was used throughout the tournament stages.
Fortnite Esports In 2025
This year’s FNCS season has kept Fortnite firmly in the spotlight as one of the most-watched battle royale esports. The Pro-Am event in May attracted over 600,000 peak viewers. Meanwhile, last year’s Global Championship hit a peak of 809,854 viewers according to Esports Charts, ranking it as the third most-watched Fortnite esports event ever. Wow, that’s huge!
Guess the Fortnite esports scene isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Wonder if ZOWIE’s monitors will give players that extra edge on the big stage? Yikes, the pressure must be intense with so much on the line.
