The new Call of Duty Black Ops 7 launch trailer is live, and it does what the series does best – it leans into the weird. The Replacer, the live-action marketing mascot Peter Stormare has played since Black Ops 4, is back, but this time the role is being passed to two new performers: Terry Cruise and Nikki Glaser.
Stormare’s Replacer has been a running gag for more than seven years, and the trailer plays with that bit of meta-humor by sending the character off into space while introducing backup Replacers should the need ever arise. The result is equal parts absurd and oddly fitting for a franchise that keeps folding blockbuster spectacle into its marketing.
The game itself remains on course for a November 14, 2025, launch on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Season 1 is slated to arrive shortly after launch and promises large-scale content drops. Peter Stormare’s Replacer has been a reliable slice of bizarre charm for the series, and passing the mantle to Terry Cruise and Nikki Glaser keeps that tone intact while giving Treyarch another marketing beat to play with as the game approaches release.
