Black Ops 4 to Cause Bandwidth Difficulties Because of its Upcoming 50GB Download

The first day of Black Ops 4 may not be the day when everyone is going to experience the game for the first time. Numerous issues are causing this to happen, however, the most crucial factor would be the bandwidth usage, or in other words, download and upload speed that may deny players from hopping in the game on day one.

Resolving this issue will be hard since no one can control the initial bandwidth and the limit allowed by their ISP. The most recent announcement made by Treyarch is that players will be pushed to download 50 GB of data on launch.

The day one update package is roughly 50 GB. Download speeds may vary based on region, platform, connection type, and the speed of your internet connection.

More importantly, PC players will have to download an extra 5 GB compared to the console players, which makes it 55GB.

Summarized together with all the system updates that have to be performed on the consoles and PCs, it may cover an even bigger amount of data. However, as we’re getting closer to the release date, new changes may occur and things may change. Fun fact is that the first day is estimated to gather fewer players than the coming ones.

No wonder players would love to try the Blackout game mode ASAP, as the Battle Royale genre is considered to be the most versatile in many video games nowadays.
