Released ahead of the official launch on October 12th, 2023, the six-minute trailer offers a fascinating glimpse into the game’s making and how the development team sought to honor the franchise’s origins.
Centered around the key pillars that have defined Assassin’s Creed – parkour, stealth, and assassinations – Mirage seeks to pay tribute to the franchise’s beginnings. The new trailer reveals how Ubisoft’s team reimagined these elements in the visually stunning setting of ninth-century Baghdad during its Golden Age.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage introduces a new protagonist to the saga, a cunning street thief named Basim, who is haunted by nightmarish visions. Following an act of lethal retribution, Basim flees his native Baghdad to join The Hidden Ones, an ancient organization filled with enigmatic rituals and potent tenets. As Basim delves deeper into this clandestine society, he will sharpen his unique skills, unravel his authentic nature, and acquaint himself with a new Creed – one that will radically alter his destiny in ways he never anticipated.
