BattlEye and Easy Anti-Cheat will be supported on Steam Deck

Both BattlEye and Easy Anti-Cheat will battle against cheaters on Steam Deck

Are you tired of hackers swarming your games up? Well, speaking on Valve’s upcoming Steam Deck handheld mini PC device, you shouldn’t worry that much about them, as Steam Deck will support both Easy Anti-Cheat and BattlEye. While EAC is my favorite thanks to its intrusion, BattlEye will also try to assert presence by battling against cheaters trying to take advantage however they can.

Both BattlEye and Easy Anti-Cheat will offer their services to worried customers using the Steam Deck worldwide. BattlEye is known for its presence in games like Rainbow Six Siege, Escape From Tarkov, PUBG, DayZ, and other games, while Easy Anti-Cheat and its effectiveness can be seen in games such as Apex Legends, Squad, Fortnite, and others.

Thanks to Epic Games, Easy Anti-Cheat has also become available to developers for free. The most recent update confirmed a support extension to Linux and Mac, which also supports Wine and Proton compatibility layers on Linux. According to many communities, Easy Anti-Cheat is considered one of the most successful combatants against cheaters.

BattlEye has confirmed that it provides native Linux and Mac support and has recently announced that it will support Steam Deck and its compatibility layer, Proton. Proton is a compatibility layer that allows Windows games to be run on Linux by using a modified version of Wine.

I've spent half of my life playing video games, ever since the competitive 1.6 era. Now I am happily married to Margarita Kicevski, and have two beautiful children. My goal is to deliver fresh news and updates, but most of the time I want to work on guides. Since I have rebooted this website, I am planning on making it huge. Just you wait!
