To combat in-game cheating and maintain the integrity of Escape From Tarkov, Battlestate Games has taken significant measures against Real Money Trading (RMT) users. RMT, which involves selling in-game items or services for real money, has become a major issue for the game developer. As part of their ongoing efforts to crack down on these activities, Battlestate Games has banned over 300 RMT users since March 4.
In a statement from the developer, they announced:
“Since March 4 more than 300 RMT sellers have been banned in Escape From Tarkov.”
To further discourage RMT activities, Battlestate Games has released a spreadsheet containing the names of the banned users, also known as the Wall of Shame. This public display aims to deter future cheaters and RMT users by displaying their actions for the entire gaming community to see.
