Battlefield 6 launched to considerable attention, and one small but curious detail in its single-player campaign is already getting noticed. After players complete the campaign, the mode’s screen replaces the usual button with an Uninstall option, giving people an easy way to remove that portion of the game while keeping other modes installed. The game also arrived with substantial player numbers on Steam, surpassing Call of Duty’s all-time concurrent peak within a day of launch.

The campaign itself is a compact package: nine missions across Africa, North America, and Europe. It also lets players command a full squad for most of the experience, with each squad member representing a different class. The revive mechanic mirrors those of other multiplayer games, so downed teammates in your squad can be revived. Other recent developer confirmations include a statement that Battlefield 6 will not use generative AI in its content. The team also said the open beta’s smaller maps were intentional, not an oversight.
